What do you call the two images below?

Most people would answer ‘GTA 5’ and ‘a computer’, I would answer $1,420 towards my journey of $20,170. After accepting the challenge, the first thing I did was look around my room. Couple that challenge with a documentary on minimalism and a book on stoicism, it becomes easy to see what around you is necessary and what can be sold.

So my computer which I had loved dearly since I was 15 was the first to go. Next was the bag of Xbox games that I found in the basement which I guess was an even easier decision since my Xbox has been broken for a few years now.

So far only the two items have sold but I also started collecting even more. I went to my parents and they gave me all the stuff they wanted to throw away. They get a cleaner house, and I get some more goodies to chuck on Trade Me.

Next step is going through the Facebook marketplace, and garage sales, but I think doing this as the first step will arm me with some spare cash to buy some mis-priced goods in the future.

Since I started late, I’m a week away from the first month being over. I’ve always liked playing as the underdog though so this adds to the excitement.

$18,750 to go!
